A Curated Talent Collective
Senior-level leadership, on the terms the work requires.
Seat & Signal™ is a Connecticut-based curated talent collective serving companies across the United States. We match vetted C-suite and senior-level executives — experienced executive women and ex-Big 4 senior-level leaders — into fractional, interim, and board roles with startups, VC-funded, PE-backed, and mid-market companies. Companies pay a flat success fee, quoted before the engagement begins. Executives never pay for matching or placement.
What we do
Two hundred maybes, or two strong candidates.
Traditional retained search costs tens of thousands of dollars and takes months. Directories hand you two hundred unvetted profiles. We do neither: for each mandate we deliver a slate of two to three genuinely vetted executives, then stand behind the match.
Fractional executive search
Experienced CFOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs, CMOs, CROs, CHROs, and CPOs matched into part-time, ongoing leadership roles with startups and growth companies.

Ex-Big 4 senior-level executives and senior operators for full-time, fixed-term leadership through transitions at VC-funded, PE-backed, and mid-market companies.

How does curated matching work?
- Brief. A discovery call defines the role, scope, stage, and budget. We tell you honestly whether our member can fill it — and decline mandates we cannot serve well.
- Slate. You receive two to three vetted executives — not a directory of two hundred maybes. For fractional engagements, slates arrive in days, not months. Every executive has approved the specific introduction.
- Engagement. You contract directly with the Executive at their rates. Our flat success fee is invoiced at signature — we take nothing from the Executive’s fees.
- Support. The relationship does not end at signature — engaged executives are backed by our community, and the specific terms of every engagement are set out in the agreement you sign.
The founding rule
Companies pay our fees. Executives never pay for matches.
That single rule keeps the incentives clean — members join because the deal flow is real, and clients get executives who are there on merit, not because they paid for priority.
- Vetting is real. Every member goes through a selective review before entering The Collective — that is the product clients are buying.
- Nothing is shared without approval. No member’s details reach a client until that member approves that specific introduction.
- Flat fees, not percentages. A known fee at signature — a fraction of retained-search cost, with no percentage-of-compensation math.
For executives
The Collective behind the placements.
Experienced C-suite and senior-level executive women and ex-Big 4 senior-level executives join for vetted opportunities on their own terms and rates — with a peer community, benchmarks, and board pathways behind them. Matching never costs executives anything.
A founding-stage note, honestly
No borrowed logos. No invented testimonials.
Seat & Signal is newly launched. You will not find a wall of logos or testimonials here yet — we publish client results only with permission and only when verified. What we offer founding clients instead: direct access to the founder on every engagement, founding pricing, and the same standard we will hold at scale.
