The process
Brief. Slate. Engagement. Support.
Curated matching at Seat & Signal™ runs in four steps, whether the seat is fractional, interim, or on a board. The company pays a flat success fee quoted before work begins; the Executive never pays for matching or placement and contracts with you directly.
The four steps, in detail.
- Brief. A discovery call defines the role, scope, stage, and budget. This is also where we sort engagement shape — fractional, interim, or board — because the model matters more than the title. We tell you honestly whether our member can fill it, and decline mandates we cannot serve well.
- Slate. You receive two to three vetted executives, each with written reasoning for the fit — not a directory of two hundred maybes. For fractional engagements, slates typically arrive in days; board slates within two weeks. Every executive has approved the specific introduction before you see a name.
- Engagement. You contract directly with the Executive at their rates. Our flat success fee is invoiced at signature — we take nothing from the Executive’s fees, and we are not a party to your engagement.
- Support. Engaged executives are backed by The Collective’s community and standards. The specific terms of every engagement — including remedies — are set out plainly in the agreement you sign.
